Jan, customer telerelations
What did you want to be when you were younger?
A makeup artist. I went rapidly off that idea when I discovered that you needed A-level History (this was a LONG time ago!).
What was your first job?
Receptionist, secretary or anything that needed doing at CH Woods Locksmiths.
When you’re not at work – or social distancing – what’s your favourite hobby?
I’m a complete bookworm… well, technically a ‘Kindle-worm’, I guess.
What is your greatest personal achievement?
Producing the miracle that is my ‘baby’ girl. She’s just turned 18 but she’ll always be my ‘baby’ girl.
Describe yourself as a teenager in three words?
Moody – isn’t every teenager? Punk, alternative.
If you could have three people (dead or alive) as dinner guests, who would they be?
Freddie Mercury, Marilyn Monroe and (purely because I’m just reading his autobiography and it’s so funny) Matt Lucas.
Who would play you in a movie?
Clare Danes (wishful thinking). More realistically Meryl Streep!
What gets you out of bed in the morning?
My cats, normally.
How would you describe your job to a child?
I help people manage their money.
What’s your favourite line from a film?
“Well… nobody’s perfect.” – Some Like It Hot.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
The usual… chocolate.
What’s the weirdest question you’ve been asked in a job interview?
Try and sell me this pen.
